Sarban (Sir-bin) is a first-generation student in medical school who is passionate about helping others achieve their goals. She completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Science at Wayne State University in Detroit MI and is now a medical student at Central Michigan University in Mt Pleasant MI. As a first-generation student she understands the difficulties of navigating the application process and has began mentoring to help others cross that barrier. She enjoys connecting with a variety of personalities and helping those shine through during the application process. Outside of medicine she struggles to juggle the joys of friends, family, and travel. She strives for the “you can have it all” lifestyle, but it has turned out be harder than getting into medical school. Her hobby is studying because let’s be real, that’s all that we do. She has been mentoring for 5 years and cannot wait to meet you!
