Sara Kianian is a fourth-year medical student at Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York. She attended the University of California, Berkeley for her undergraduate studies in molecular and cell biology, with a focus on immunology, and additionally pursued a minor in applied linguistics. After her undergraduate degree, she went on to pursue a Masters in translational medicine joint between the University of California, Berkeley, and San Francisco campuses. After her studies, she spent two years working at Apple in health technology for the Apple Watch where she homed in on her passions for integrating technology and innovation into medicine. Sara is passionate about mentoring students who want to pursue careers in medicine, while additionally supporting their exploration of other multidisciplinary fields that play into the overall healthcare ecosystem. She is dedicated to giving back with her time and experiences to support students in their personal statement, AMCAS Application writing, and overall career planning to help them achieve their goals. Her hobbies include landscape photography (although still quite amateur at it), fitness and overall wellness, playing classical Persian piano songs, and eating chocolate after any and all meals.
