Ricardo Navarro is currently a third-year medical student at Ponce Health Sciences University. He was born and studies in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, known to many as the "Island of Enchantment." For undergrad, he completed a B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Before med school, he worked on research projects in Pharmacology and Instrumentation that helped him in applications for medical school and shaped his long-term career goals. He likes to watch tv, study languages (currently Japanese) when his schedule allows, and spend time with friends in his free time. He has overcome many challenges throughout his brief career, such as discovering who he was as a student from a small island in a big world and seeking mentorship. He understands how much mentorship matters within graduate education in such an overwhelming world. He is happy to offer help and mentorship to any student who needs it.
