Nicole Knape received a BA in Neuroscience and Global Health at Dartmouth College. On campus, she led the Women in Science Project to help provide avenues for women to obtain paid research positions in various STEM departments. In addition, passionate about the impacts of food insecurity on health, she interned at the Baraka Community Wellness nonprofit in Boston and worked as Dartmouth Student Body Vice President to resolve hunger concerns on campus. She is currently a medical student at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine interested in pursuing a career in oncology with a focus on public health. Nicole is excited to continue mentoring students on their paths towards science and medicine with Project SHORT!
