Matthew Liu is currently a first year medical student at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Prior to medical school, Matthew did his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland College Park, where he was heavily involved in leading multi-cultural groups there and spent most of his time working towards expanding mental health resources and access specifically for minority students. In addition, he spent a total of three years doing research in the Laboratory of Immunoregulation at the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland (two summers as an intern and two years full time as a postbacc), where his work focused on HIV vaccines.
