Katie Sexton is a first year medical student at the University of Washington School of Medicine. While originally from Washington, Katie spent the eight years preceding medical school on the east coast in Boston, MA. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology at Boston University, worked in research at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston University School of Medicine, and Boston Children’s Hospital, and completed a Master of Science in Medical Sciences at Boston University. While in medical school, her interests surround pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and chronic illness advocacy. Outside of medical school, she can be found cycling around Washington stopping at coffee shops along the way. She is excited to be a part of Project SHORT and is looking forward to helping support applicants.
