Joshua Amaya is currently a medical student at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Originally from McAllen, Texas, Josh studied Neuroscience at Brown University and graduated in 2018. He spent one year as a post-baccalaureate research fellow at the National Institutes of Health where he studied the molecular basis behind certain rare neurodenegerative diseases. In medical school, Josh is heavily involved in radiology research, specifically breast and musculoskeletal imaging. He will be applying to diagnostic radiology residency programs in the fall of 2022. Outside of school, Josh enjoys going to coffee shops, movie premieres, and new restaurants with his fiancée.
