She/her/hers

Jessica graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 2018 in bioengineering then spent one year as a post-baccalaureate researcher at the NCI studying natural killer T cells and the following year as a consultant at Accenture. Part-time, she has also worked for a few tutoring agencies that allowed her to work with students to prepare for the SAT and MCAT. She is now an incoming MD-PhD student at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, hoping to bridge the gap between technical engineering solutions and the complex realities that patients and doctors face in medicine today. Outside of work and school, Jessica loves anything outdoors-hiking, jogging, swimming, enjoys collecting indoor house plants and taking care of her cat. She has a passion for helping underrepresented and disadvantaged students and is excited to help future physicians and scientists navigate the application process!
