Ellen Wang is an incoming MD-PhD student at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Prior to starting medical school, she graduated from Pomona College in 2020 with a B.A. in Molecular Biology and worked for ~1.5 years as a research associate in Dr. Julie Andersen's lab at the Buck Institute, studying the role of senescence in Alzheimer's disease. Ellen loves mentoring students at all stages of their premed journeys and is passionate about increasing diversity in the medical and scientific communities. In her spare time, she loves cooking, eating, and thinking about food.
