Daniel is a native of Los Angeles and a proud graduate of the University of Southern California (Fight On!). While at USC, Daniel studied biomedical engineering and conducted tissue engineering research both as an undergraduate and as a research technician in his gap year. As an MD/PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania, he now hopes to explore his developing interest in stem cell biology. Outside of school, Daniel enjoys pick-up soccer, being in the outdoors, and napping… kind of a lot. Daniel has been very fortunate to have had many mentors in research and medicine who have helped him along his career path, and is excited for the opportunity to serve as a similar support for students who are contemplating careers in research and medicine.
