Bennett is a 3rd-year medical student at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and is loving it! He grew up in southeast Michigan before heading to North Carolina where he received a B.S. in Neuroscience from Duke University. While an undergrad, he was heavily involved with HIV and addiction research, global health research in Uganda, and the Duke basketball student section. He took one "gap year" where he worked for an information services company in New York City while applying to medical school. As a medical student, Bennett has been active in global health projects and orthopedic surgery research. In early 2020, he organized and conducted a research project in Guatemala. He is interested in pursuing a career in surgery and improving access to surgical treatment within the US and abroad. He is a lover of new recipes, farmers markets, and Fleetwood Mac and can usually be found at a yoga studio struggling to keep his balance. Bennett is excited to help you achieve your medical school goals!
