Akshatha Kiran received her MPH in Health Policy from the Yale School of Public Health and her BS in Biochemistry from NC State University. She is passionate about serving at the intersection of policy and medicine to advocate for accountable implementation policies which support underserved populations. Akshatha has experience in both domestic and international policy analysis and has worked with non-profits and clinics in North Carolina, Connecticut, Massachusetts and India. She will pursue her medical school career at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Akshatha is thrilled to work with Project SHORT and offer support to make medical school more equitably accessible to those pursuing their calling.
