Zeeshan is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Temple University, working with Dr. Lauren Ellman. She received a B.A. with distinction in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. After graduating, she worked as a clinical research coordinator for four years at the Psychosis Evaluation and Recovery Center (PERC) and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) in the Perelman School of Medicine’s Neurodevelopment and Psychosis Section. At Temple, she is interested in combining behavioral and neuroimaging techniques to study the effect of social stressors, including psychosocial and discrimination-based trauma, on social-emotional cognition and risk for psychosis in adolescence. She aims for her research program to contribute to the development of enhanced identification and intervention strategies for youth in her local Philadelphia community.
