Wendy Xin is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, where she studies cellular neuroscience (specifically, the role of oligodendrocytes and myelin in shaping neuronal circuits). She graduated with a BSc in Psychology/Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Wendy is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and the NIH F32 NRSA postdoctoral fellowship. She is very interested in helping graduate school applicants from historically minoritized groups navigate the unspoken rules of academia and achieve their scientific goals. In her spare time, she does a lot of cooking and singing in the kitchen.
