Theodore (Teddy) Fisher graduated Northeastern University (‘ 2020) with an Honors Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience. As an undergraduate student and post-baccalaureate in the laboratory of Beth Stevens, he worked to characterize the immune cell compartments at the borders of the brain in the context of development. Specializing in various imaging techniques and genetic bioinformatics approaches, Teddy is especially interested in gaining insight into the complex structures of the meninges and skull bone marrow, analyzing from a neuroprotective standpoint how they relate to immune tolerance surveillance of the brain. As a current 1st year PhD student at New York University, he is pursuing his work in understanding neuro-immune glial interactions in health and disease. In his spare time, Teddy loves to hike and rock climb, read, and play any instrument he can get his hands on.
