Taylor is from a small town in Ohio and completed her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University; go bucks! Before starting graduate school, she was a fellow in the Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program where she was involved in research aimed at utilizing multiple approaches to studying vulnerable groups and their responses to issues related to substance use and adversity. One particular study involved examining the influence of hope, interpersonal, social, and individual functioning on repeated admissions for substance use treatment. As a first-year graduate student, Taylor is interested in the influence of personality pathology and substance use comorbidity on externalizing maladaptive behaviors. When she's not working, you may find her reading a Stephen King novel, listening to The Lumineers, or exploring the outdoors!
