Sugandha Gupta is a 5th-year-doctoral student in the Health Psychology and Clinical Science PhD Program based at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Broadly, her research interests are in understanding the social and cultural processes that shape health behaviors within the context of chronic illness. Sugandha is also being trained in clinical health psychology and has experience in Motivational Interviewing, Neuropsychological Assessment, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Prior to starting graduate school, she completed her B.A. at Stony Brook University, with a double major in Health Sciences (concentration: Public Health) and Psychology. Sugandha lives in Queens, NY and enjoys reading, working on puzzles, and drinking chai.
