Sophie is a second year PhD student in Cancer Research UK’s RadNet program, based at King’s College London (UK). Her PhD focusses on combining radiotherapy and immunotherapy treatments in order to improve outcomes for head and neck cancer patients. Sophie completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Birmingham (UK), earning an MSci degree in Biological Sciences with a professional placement year at AstraZeneca in their in vitro immune-oncology department. Since graduating she has worked in several industry roles, both start-ups and biotech’s, before moving back to academia for her PhD. Outside of work, Sophie is currently learning to roller skate and enjoys making the most of living in London with friends!
