Sophia (she/her) is a PhD student studying Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience at Temple University working with Dr. Tania Giovannetti. Sophia graduated from University of California, San Diego in 2018 with a BS in Clinical Psychology and continued her research journey at the VA San Diego where she worked for three years studying neuroimaging biomarkers and vascular risk factors of Alzheimer's disease. In her current lab, she is interested in examining associations between neuroimaging markers and more culturally sensitive measures of cognitive decline, health disparities in aging and neuropsychology research, and using novel technologies in cognitive rehabilitation. In her free time, Sophia loves hiking, anything involving the outdoors, painting, and exploring the great food in Philly!
