She/her/hers

Sheba is currently a second-year Social Psychology Ph.D. student in the Psychology & Neuroscience Department at the University of Colorado Boulder. She’s working under the guidance of Dr. Evava Pietri in the Pietri Social Intervention and Attitudes Lab (PSIA). She previously obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY, and a master’s degree in General Psychology from New York University. Her research interests primarily focus on stereotyping, prejudice, stigmatization, intersectionality, and intergroup relations, especially in the Black community. More specifically, she is interested in how having multiple identities (e.g., race, gender, and social class) can intersect to impact feelings of belonging, trust, and inclusion across multiple domains, such as in academia and healthcare.
