Sari is a 2nd year graduate student at the UCLA Molecular Biology Institute in the home area Gene Regulation, Epigenomics and Transcriptomics (GREAT). She is interested in exploring the inflammatory consequences of endogenous dsRNA production. Prior to starting her PhD, Sari received her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her M.S. in Biology from Fisk University. Sari had the opportunity to participate undergraduate research through the McNair Scholars program and credits her passion and drive to the support she received from her mentors through her journey to graduate school. Outside of research, Sari enjoys reading, walking her dogs and spending time with family.
