Sarah is a first-year Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan who is passionate about scientific exploration and mentorship. She received her Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of California, Riverside where she conducted research projects aimed to understand the genetic regulation of neural lifespan. Upon graduating, she joined the Department of Otolaryngology at UCSF where she explored the regenerative biology of the vestibular and auditory systems. She hopes to continue research in the field of tissue development and regenerative medicine during her Ph.D. dissertation work. Outside of the lab, she enjoys playing various musical instruments including the violin and tank drum, as well as painting and dance.
