Samantha is a PhD student in the Neuroscience program at New York University. Prior to coming to NYU, she earned a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and minor in Music from Ohio University and a Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Washington. Aside from her clinical work with patients experiencing hearing and balance challenges, Samantha was awarded the Student Research Award from the Washington State Academy of Audiology for her study on the ototoxicity of chloroquine using a zebrafish model with Dr. David Raible. She is interested in mentorship and investigating the neurobiological mechanisms of vestibular compensation. Outside of the lab, she enjoys making music, reading, rock climbing, and camping.
