Ruth is a PhD student in the Earth & Planetary Science and the Human Evolutionary Biology Departments at Harvard University. Her research uses organic chemistry to understand the earth’s climate system in the past. In particular, Ruth’s work focuses on reconstructing habitats of early hominids in eastern Africa, in order to understand how ecology may have influenced human evolution. Ruth is passionate about teaching, and has been involved as both a private tutor and a non-profit teacher for many years. She is excited to help students navigate the confusing and often unspoken rules of graduate applications!
