Ruiyu Yang is currently a doctoral student working toward her PhD in clinical psychology in the SDSU/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology with a focus on experimental psychopathology. Ruiyu is interested in examining the underlying mechanisms of affective and neurodevelopmental disorders with a combination of behavioral and neuroimaging tools. Specifically, she looks into the dynamic interactions among neurobiological processes, social and cultural conditions, and environmental factors, and how these forces manifest themselves and interact with each other along the developmental trajectories in children and adolescents.
