Roshni is an incoming PhD student at the Brain & Creativity Institute at USC, researching the intersection between emotion and decision-making. Roshni graduated from NYU with a degree in Neuroscience and Pre-Medicine as well as a minor in Psychology. After graduating one year early from undergrad, Roshni worked as a research assistant at Stanford University, utilizing fMRI and behavioral assessments to evaluate risk of relapse in Veterans with alcohol use disorder. From there, Roshni worked at an applied neuroscience start-up that leveraged biometric data to evaluate consumer reactions to various types of content, and at NBCUniversal as a research analyst.
