Ronit graduated from Johns Hopkins University in May 2018 as a Cell and Molecular Biology major. While in undergrad, she studied protein translation and folding. After college, she spent a year at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) studying lipid metabolism and signaling. She began her graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania in August 2019, pursuing a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a focus on Microbiology. Her PhD thesis work centers on innate immune responses to bacterial pathogens with a focus on cell death. Ronit is very excited to work with students and support them along their journeys to graduate school.
