Rick is a Ph.D. student in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Purdue University, where he received his Master of Science degree in 2022. He is an international student from China, where he graduated from Zhejiang University. Currently, he has two main lines of research: 1) unpacking the motivation processes (e.g., cognitive strategies, beliefs/judgments) in pursuit of multiple conflicting goals; 2) understanding how to promote individual and collective well-being through interpersonal cooperation and prosocial behaviors. His research uses diverse methods (experimental, psychometric, longitudinal, dyadic, etc.). His work aims to advance basic psychological theories and to generate actionable insights to help individuals and organizations flourish.
