Rebecca graduated from Notre Dame of Maryland University, a small liberal arts college in Baltimore, in 2018. While in undergrad, she spent two years studying a morphological regulator gene in the yeast species Candida glabrata. She also spent a summer in a pharmacology lab synthesizing a small-molecule Mcl-1 and MDM2 inhibitor. Since graduating, she has been working in a lab at Johns Hopkins studying the role of vasopressin in social behaviors in mice. This Fall she will begin a neuroscience PhD program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she hopes to study mood disorders. Outside of lab, she primarily enjoys spending time with her cats.
