Poojya is a computational neuroscience graduate student at the University of Chicago, where she works with mouse models to understand how visual regions communicate with motor regions in the brain. Before moving to the US for grad school, she worked as a research intern at the Center for Neuroscience in the Indian Institute of Science, Banglore, studying early visual processing in non-human primates and humans. She did her undergraduate training in Biomedical Engineering from Chennai, India, and is interested in helping students from diverse backgrounds navigate the admission process. She enjoys reading, poetry, and discovering new music.
