Mrittika is a PhD student of Psychology at UCLouvain, Belgium. She is interested in visual perception and is using fMRI and computational techniques to look deeper into fundamental questions in vision research. With a focus on faces, she aims to unravel the low-level properties that elevate faces to a 'special' category in the brain. She moved to Belgium a year ago as an international student and has benefitted greatly from Project Short herself. She hopes to extend the excellent guidance she received as a mentee alum, and help the next generation of doctoral students!
