Miriam is a Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Florida, where her research focuses on investigating the effects of weight stigma and internalized weight bias on health-related behaviors. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Touro College in New York in 2017. Prior to her doctoral studies, Miriam worked as a research coordinator for two years at the University of Pittsburgh, where she managed several clinical trials that assessed the impact of weight management intervention during the perinatal period on long-term cardiometabolic outcomes. In her free time, Miriam enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, and reading.
