Michelle Chernikova is a Ph.D. student in Developmental and Social Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is interested in how emotional experiences, as shaped by social, environmental, and linguistic contexts, influence psychological resilience in children and adolescents. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Theater Arts from Loyola Marymount University. Outside of research, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, theater, and traveling (when possible).
