Michal is currently a third-year PhD student in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. After graduating from Brown University with a BA in psychology in 2017, Michal spent two years at the National Institute of Mental Health assisting in the development of an exposure-based therapy for childhood irritability. Michal's research interests involve understanding the mechanisms of change in cognitive-behavioral treatments for mood and anxiety disorders. Her clinical work involves using cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, emotion regulation therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and psychodynamic therapy in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, and PTSD.
