Meghan McDarby is a 5th year graduate student in the Clinical Geropsychology Laboratory at Washington University in St. Louis. Her primary research interests include enhancing end of life (EOL) decision making among older adults and improving communication about end-of-life care preferences among older adults, their caregivers, and healthcare providers. She is broadly interested in ways to increase quality of EOL care by facilitating earlier access to palliative care services and by optimizing psychological care at EOL. Meghan majored in Human Development at Cornell University and graduated in 2014, then worked for two years for the VA Center for Health Equity and Research Promotion in Philadelphia before starting graduate school. In her free time, Meghan loves hiking, trying new teas, and playing with her pug, Olive.
