Maggie graduated from Colby College in May of 2020 with a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience. As an undergraduate, she primarily worked under Dr. Erin Sheets in the Emotion and Mood Lab, evaluating brief group intervention to improve social belonging, mental health, and academic performance in disadvantaged college students. She also gained research experience in a variety of different topic areas including concussions, cognitive development, mood and psychosis, and pediatric neuropsychology. As a post-bacc, she focused on research about increasing accessibility to mental healthcare. She worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Center for OCD and Related Disorders on digital mental health apps for adults with OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and depression, and at Boston Children’s Hospital on a digital mental health app for teens with depression. She will be attending Miami University Ohio in fall 2023 to get her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology under the mentorship of Dr. Paul Flaspohler, focusing on school- and community-based preventative programs. Maggie has a background in mentoring and tutoring as well as in healthcare as an EMT. In her free time, she enjoys painting, embroidery, and hiking.
