Mairéad Willis is a PhD student in clinical psychology at the University of Missouri. Before starting graduate school, she completed a B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior, an M.A. in creative writing, and two years as a post-baccalaureate research coordinator studying quantitative psychology. Now, she studies social risk and protective factors for psychological distress, particularly in systems like families and organizational cultures. She benefitted a lot from mentorship when applying to graduate school, so she believes in the power of mentorship. Outside of work, she likes to read, write, and play games!
