Mable is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, where she is studying the mechanisms of generating myelin in the brain. She grew up in Southern California and ventured to the east coast for her undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Amherst College. Upon missing California too much, she returned for her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of California, San Francisco and wrote her dissertation on cell death during the unfolded protein response. She looks forward to learning about the scientific interests of her mentees and helping them highlight their passions and achievements on applications. Outside of research, Mable enjoys Olympic weightlifting as a hobby.
