Linh received her B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Management from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2019. As an undergraduate, Linh worked in multiple labs from physical chemistry, analytical chemistry and then to bioinformatics. In the summer of 2018, she had an opportunity to work at Harvard Medical School studying lipid metabolism using CRISPR-cas9 technology. After graduating from Gustavus, she worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital investing RNA-binding protein in skeletal muscles and then transited to work at Biogen, studying genetic and neurodevelopmental diseases. Currently, Linh pursues a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, under the supervision of Dr. Zhenyu Yue and Dr. Bin Zhang. Her thesis project focuses on neuroprotective mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease using both computational modeling and experimental validation. Outside of the lab, Linh enjoys spending time with her dog (Vivy), cooking, reading novels, watching TV shows, and going out with her family and friends.
