Leah Cingranelli (they/them) is a graduate student on the Generalist Clinical Track at the University of Maine. They received their Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Binghamton University, and they were a project manager at the Center for Transdisciplinary Research on Intimate Relationships (CTROIR). During their time at CTROIR, they researched the role of emotion regulation on the likelihood of people to engage in sexual aggression towards transgender people. Leah’s current research interests are centered on understanding the internal mechanisms in gender and sexual minority individuals that may lead to unhealthy substance use behaviors. Their goal is to find ways to better treat substance use problems in the LGBTQ+ community.
