She completed her doctoral internship at Tulsa Center for Child Psychology. She is currently license eligible in the state of Oklahoma and completing her postdoctoral fellowship. She has a great deal of experience working in the aquatic environment and has performed past research in this area regarding injury prevention, lifeguard vigilance, and attention. While at the University of Tulsa, she worked as a graduate assistant for the university’s volunteer coordination and initiative team (True Blue Neighbors) where she developed relationships with nonprofit organizations in and around the greater Tulsa area. She also worked at the Center for Community Research and Development, where she evaluated, designed, and implemented programs in the greater Tulsa area in the domains of emotional/mental health, recovery and reintegration, quality of life, and self-sufficiency. She was part of a team that was critical in the development of a local free mental health clinic and university training center. She is interested in researching and implementing community-based programs and interventions geared toward injury prevention for minority and underserved populations. The majority of her clinical training has been in empirically supported treatments for children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience in neuropsych testing through the VAMC; outpatient adult, child, and adolescent therapy services; group services for children and adolescents; developmental testing; acute adolescent inpatient hospitalization services; residential adolescent services; and school-based therapy. Over the course of the internship year, she gained exposure and competency in ABA therapy, PCIT, ADOS testing, FASD, and increased efficiency in testing and report writing. She has served as the Associate Director of Behavioral Health at a busy outpatient pediatric agency. She is actively completing her postdoctoral training to pursue state licensure.
