Krutika received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland College Park in 2021. As an undergraduate, Krutika interned at Johns Hopkins Bayview Community Psychiatry Clinic, shadowing clinical work. In addition, she did research on co-morbid substance abuse in adolescents with the Johns Hopkins Neurocognitive and Imaging Characterization of Adolescent Substance Use Disorders lab. In 2022, she worked as a mental health technician at a residential mental health facility, which helped guide many of her current research interests and ideas. Krutika is a first-year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at the University of Maine. She is interested in studying the intersection between trauma and substance abuse, along with harm reduction in the emerging adult population. In her free time, she enjoys binging tv shows, reading, and working out.
