Social Psychology

She/her/hers

Katie is a first-year graduate student at New York University pursuing a Ph.D. in social psychology. She is broadly interested in examining the parallel and distinctive psychological processes through which high- and low-status group members come to accept unfair arrangements and resist social change, even at a detriment to their own well-being. She also has interests in examining the unintended consequences of various social change initiatives. Katie graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Political Science in 2021, and then served as a lab manager for a year before beginning graduate school. In her free time, Katie likes to dance, hike, explore NYC with friends, and watch sitcoms.
