Karen is a graduate student at Harvard Medical School in the Program in Neuroscience (PiN) in Dr. Lauren Orefice's lab. She is studying how texture is encoded in the brain and how this differs in autism mouse models. She completed her undergraduate degree at New York University and worked in Dr. Eric Klann's lab where she studied the role that protein synthesis plays in long and short term memories. Outside of lab she enjoys hiking, trying new recipes, trying different art mediums, and reading.
