Kandace is a PhD student in the School Psychology program at the University of Cincinnati. In Spring of 2021, she received her MEd in Foundations in Behavior Analysis as a part of this program. She attended Northwestern University for her undergraduate education where she received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Legal Studies. Upon graduation, she worked for two years as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Center for ADHD at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Kandace is interested in the direction of the relationship between academic performance and behavioral difficulties in the classroom and the implications this has for intervention and prevention efforts. She is particularly interested in these areas from a social justice perspective and in the context of minoritized students and the school-to-prison pipeline. In her free time, Kandace enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and soaking in the nostalgia with Nancy Drew books.
