Kailee Kodama Muscente is a first-year doctoral student in New York University’s Counseling Psychology program. Her research interests lie at the intersection of youth mental health, parent-child relationships, and developing/expanding access to culturally-informed interventions, especially for AAPI populations. Originally hailing from the west coast, she received her B.A. in Psychology from Pepperdine University, before moving to the tri-state area to pursue an Ed.M. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her past clinical experiences include training in youth outpatient and partial hospitalization centers and servicing behavioral and socio-emotional therapy to youth with developmental disorders. She also took a few years off from academia to teach English in China and work in higher education. She is excited to support students through Project SHORT!
