Julia is a 2nd year PhD student in the Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics department at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research involves designing continuous and droplet-based microfluidic devices for studying biological materials. She is a current NSF Graduate Research Fellow. Prior to starting at Penn, Julia worked as a researcher in the Kirby Microfluidics Lab at Cornell University and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern in the CTO group at Applied Materials. She graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2021.
