Julia is a 6th year clinical psychology doctoral candidate at Temple University, working in the Child and Adolescent Development of Emotion, Personality, and Psychopathology Lab. Her research interests include the examination of neural reward-related deficits utilizing fMRI as markers of risk for psychopathology in children and adolescents. She is currently completing her internship in Child Clinical Psychology at University of Miami/Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital. Her clinical interests include working with youth with depression (particularly LGBTQ+ folks) across inpatient and outpatient settings, using DBT-A to reduce risk for engagement in self-injurious and suicidal behaviors. Julia is very passionate about mentoring, and she is excited to work to increase representation in STEM, and to combat systemic inequalities in the graduate school admissions process!
