Jessica is a third-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program at the University of Houston. Jessica graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2018. Her research interests include mechanisms of risk and resilience impacting the psychosocial development and functioning of marginalized youth, especially immigrant and Latinx adolescents. Aside from research, she is interested in DEI issues in higher education and the field of psychology and hopes to contribute to increasing accessibility and representation for individuals from marginalized communities.
