Hannah is a graduate student in Molecular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Michigan. Originally born in Hefei, China and raised in Minnesota, she received her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Human Physiology with a minor in Pharmacology from the University of Minnesota (UMN) in 2020. Prior to entering graduate school, Hannah spent a gap year working as a research technician studying the heart and as an anatomy/physiology teaching intern developing curriculum at UMN. Currently, her research interests include understanding the mechanisms that underlie diabetes and obesity pathogenesis. Hannah is also equally passionate about STEM education, accessibility and outreach Outside of her academic interests, Hannah enjoys cooking or baking new recipes, reading, spending time with loved ones and water color painting.
